The inaugural residency of SPACE STUDIO’s new Alembic Museum Square location was a response to the industrial environment of the new studio, as well as to the city of Baroda itself. The residents visited the UNESCO Heritage site in Champaner for a research trip, and were mentored by artist Vasudevan Akittam and curator Veeranganakumari Solanki. Roobina Karode from the Kiran Nadar Museum of Arts in New Delhi also visited the studio during the residency to offer her guidance to the artists.
