Through the medium of printmaking, the artists in this residency explored the themes of art and ecology. SPACE STUDIO organised a day trip to Ahmedabad, where the artists visited the Calico Textile Museum and the Kasturbhai Lalbhai Museum. They also visited the forests and natural reserves near Jambughoda with naturalist, wildlife conservationist and photographer, Vishal Thakur. Vishal taught them how to read the forest and animal paths in the region and spoke about his specialisation in human-wildlife conflict mitigation. A masterclass and workshop by Shaleen Wadhwana helped the artists in structuring their portfolios and presenting their work.
