The eight artists of the Sculpture Residency were encouraged to explore a variety of mediums to push the boundaries of their sculptural practice: print-making, drawing, textile and painting, to name a few. SPACE STUDIO organised studio visits and talks with Dhruva Mistry, Sudarshan Shetty and N.S. Harsha. The artists were mentored by curator Veerangakumari Solanki, and artist Shubigi Rao visited the residency in collaboration with the Kochi-Muziris Biennale Foundation. SPACE STUDIO also organised a two day trip for the residency artists to Mumbai for the Mumbai Gallery Weekend, where they had a chance to attend talks and gallery walk-throughs, and engage with members of the art community.
